Not every plumbing problem needs an urgent callout, but some can’t be left even for a day. As a general guide, it’s an emergency if:
- Water is actively flooding or spreading through your home
- You've lost hot or cold water supply completely
- A toilet or drain is overflowing or your toilet is full
- You can smell gas - isolate your gas supply, whether that is an LPG bottle or a natural gas meter - they both have a way to easily turn them off in the event of an emergency. In the event of an emergency, call 000.
- A pipe has burst and you can't stop the flow at the tap
If none of these applies, it can usually wait for a standard booking. That also means you’ll avoid paying for an urgent callout you didn’t need. If you’re not sure, call us and we’ll help you work it out over the phone.
